Kareena wants Shahid out of OUATIM 2?

While Shahid Kapoor was being considered for the role of Chota Rajan in Ekta Kapoor's Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai sequel, Kareena Kapoor is pushing Imran Khan's name in place of her ex-flame.

Kareena would be paired opposite Akshay Kumar in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, who will be

playing Dawood Ibrahim's character. The actor is so impressed with her Ek Main Ekk Tu co-star Imran Khan that she wants him to be roped in.

"Kareena feels that Imran would bring novelty to the character inspired by Rajan. More so because he has played strong romantic roles in most of his films," a source told Mid Day.

"Also Kareena is enthused about how well she gets along with the co-actor. That's also one reason why she's so strongly recommending Imran's name for this movie," added the source.

Even Ekta Kapoor is supporting Kareena's suggestion and has recommended him to director Milan Luthria. "But it's still some time before they connect with Imran, as currently Milan is focused on finishing the last schedule for The Dirty Picture, for Ekta's company. In another week or two, talks should be initiated," told the source.

Tanuj Garg, CEO Balaji Motion Pictures told the tabloid, "It's still too early to talk about the parallel male lead. When things are finalised, we'll make a formal announcement."

As sultry as it gets-Vidya in `The Dirty Picture`

Vidya Balan has never exposed as much - but in the first look of ‘The Dirty Picture’, inspired by late southern sex icon Silk Smitha`s life, she has painted a perfect picture in an itsy-bitsy red blouse matched with luscious red lipstick.

The actress stands undaunted even as three men - Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi - get too close for comfort in the poster, which was released on social networking sites Friday.

"The poster and the logo of the film has a very 1980s feel to it because the movie is set in that period. We will be launching the first trailer of `The Dirty Picture` in Mumbai August 30," Girish Johar, head of acquisition and distribution, Balaji Motion Pictures, told IANS over the phone from Mumbai.

The film is set to release Dec 2, the birth anniversary of Silk Smitha, who became a symbol of sensuality after featuring in bold and semi-nude roles. Later, financial crises and personal problems took a toll on her life.
It is this moving story that has been captured in this latest offering by Ekta Kapoor.

In tune with the period that the movie is set in, the Balaji unit has chosen to launch the first trailer at Galaxy, a single screen theatre in Mumbai.

"It is because the movie has the 1980s charm of Indian cinema, we chose not to go to any five star hotel or a multiplex to launch the first teaser. The theatre will be set up in a way that reminds people of good old times," said Johar.

Air Force officers are handsome: Sonam Kapoor

After playing the love interest of Shahid Kapoor, an Air Force officer in Mausam, Sonam Kapoor, who was in the Capital on Saturday, says that she empathises with defence WAGS (wives and girlfriends) all over the world. “I play a ballet dancer in the film, and I eventually get involved

with someone who is in the Air Force. You have to be a different person to handle that. That made me empathise with a lot of people in the country... people all over the world who have husbands, boyfriends, brothers in the forces ... sometimes, you have to be stronger than the men themselves.”

In terms of patience, she means. “I think waiting is the most difficult thing. You don’t know where they’ll get posted. When you’re married, they are away for long periods of time. I read a lot of such stories,” she says.

The actor goes on, “They look handsome. Like men among the men. Especially with all these metrosexual men around, you want a (real) man. You feel they are fighting for a good cause, so there’s a whole fascination. There’s some mystery and romanticism about them.”
How does she rate her co-star Shahid? “He looked great, but only after my dad (Anil Kapoor) in Pukar!”

Salman Khan as Lady Gaga’s bodyguard!

Lady Gaga is expected to visit India this October and Bollywood hunk Salman Khan might have a field day if his niece has her way.

Believe it or not but Salman`s niece Alizeh, the younger daughter of the actor`s sister Alvira and Atul Agnihotri, is a big fan of Lady Gaga and wants her uncle play bodyguard to the `pokerfaced` singer when she comes to India.

Interestingly, Alizeh also wants him to throw a party, where her friends could meet the singer.

Bro-in-law Atul said, "My daughter is a huge fan and she is really hoping to meet Lady Gaga. And that is why she is pushing all these possible ideas."

Well, the idea does sound great but we wonder if Gaga would like someone as handsome as Salman to play her bodyguard!
